Management Skills for New Managers

30 Jan 2023 – 31 Jan 2023

The Overview

Most companies promote their people to managers based on their skill at doing the task; they are then asked to manage others to perform. It’s therefore no surprise that managers can fail when their focus fails to move from what is being done to rather how others are doing it instead. This shift in focus is important because as a manager, other aspects such as communicating well, leading by example and behavior, your own self-management and of course patience suddenly become a lot more important than they may have in the past. You will need all of these in order to understand others and then motivate the performance you want from your team.
Understanding those skills and how to display them, will be the center-piece of this workshop.
